Longhouse advocates for the involvement of artists in all aspects of the public realm. It offers artists a chance to collaborate, spaces to work from and contexts to explore working in. Longhouse is dedicated to supporting the professional development of artists in the West Midlands and does this through its annual programme:

Longhouse is a Regularly Funded Organisation funded by Arts Council England, West Midlands and is located within the team of Multistory. This relationship enables Longhouse to further support artists by joining up its professional development programme with a wider programme of work and opportunities.
The annual programme offers artists living and working in the West Midlands commissioning opportunities each year that are rooted in their professional development. Through our investment in the development of regional artists we can support the profile of exciting public realm work taking place in the West Midlands.
