Serving the Community

Through funding from the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund, Multistory has been commissioned to creatively evaluate the impact of a range of activities on the everyday lives of Sandwell residents.

The focus of our evaluation will be three key activities from the Serving the Community theme and additional activity from wider themes on Liveability; Health; and Children and Young People – Early Years. These activities have been devised to address environmental and social concerns in Sandwell.

The Serving the Community activity areas are as follows:

• Neighbourhood Tasking in Smethwick and Tipton
• Town Charters in Wednesbury and Oldbury
• Community Voice in West Bromwich and Rowley Regis

The wider activity areas are:

• Groundcare in Wednesbury
• Walk to Beijing Programme in Smethwick
• Time to Talk (0-3 years) programme in Rowley Regis

Over the next 14 months we will be engaging with residents in all six towns to get their feedback on how effective these activities are and what that means to them as members of the community.

We will also be engaging in a series of creative projects in each town that will be designed around the investment in a common vision and sense of belonging for all communities.
