    Arts Manager

    Show short bio

Chloe joined Multistory in 2007, and relocated from London where she was working for the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (LBBD) as their Community Arts Development Officer covering a wide remit, from supporting the development of local voluntary arts organisations to community engagement for large-scale public art.

Chloe’s role at Multistory managing the Longhouse programme combines her interest in the built environment and social regeneration with supporting artists to create innovative work which makes an impact on the communities they work with. A large part of her role is to support staff at Multistory to develop new projects and deliver high quality work as well as creating new partnerships and work opportunities.

Chloe’s first role as a community artist/arts manager was straight after university (where she studied ceramics) working across Nottinghamshire as a mobile playworker delivering arts activities in a number of holiday and after school clubs/schemes. It gave her a great insight into how different communities work and how the arts are viewed in different settings. It was this role that lead to her studying community development at Goldsmiths College and this formed the grounding of her knowledge and interest of using the arts as a social and developmental tool…

Chloe maintains her interest in craft practices and traditional ‘making’ and she has a definite appreciation of the written word and print.

    Karl Greenwood

    Project Co-ordinator

    Show short bio

Karl joined Multistory in 2007. He work with participants, artists, partner organisations and funding bodies in order to organise and co-ordinate projects and ensure they run smoothly, are on time and are delivered to a high standard. He is particularly interested in programmes of work around the context of social and physical regeneration such as the Multistory Beyond Bricks’ programme where artists work with the community to respond to their environment and look at issues that affect them and the area in which they live. This process of learning new skills and new things about yourself, your community and others by taking part in creative projects is something that inspires Karl and motivates him in his role.

Karl has been a musician for 15 years and has been part of many different bands and music projects during this time. He gained a BA Honours degree in Popular Music Studies in 2003 at Leeds University and has skills in sound recording, composing, and project management.

Karl has composed and recorded music for small theatre performances, short films and had music appear on a number of music compilation CDs.
